These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Carsmotology website and services. By accessing or using any part of the website or related services, users agree to be bound by these Terms. If any person does not agree to these Terms, that person should not access the website or use any services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, collaborators, contributors, subscribers, and users of the Services. Carsmotology reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the website. Continued use of the Services after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Services
Carsmotology operates a website and related services, including but not limited to Carsmotology.com, Threads.Carsmotology.com, the Carsmotology Glossary, Behind the Buffer, Collab With Carsmotology, online merchandise sales, educational articles and media, social media content, video content, newsletters, podcasts, automotive detailing services, and related consultations or communications. All such offerings are collectively referred to in these Terms as the “Services.”
Eligibility and Acceptable Use
By using the Services, users represent that they are at least the age of majority in their state or province of residence, or that they are using the Services with proper legal authority and supervision. Users agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Services.

Automotive Content Disclaimer
Carsmotology provides automotive detailing, product, and vehicle care content for general informational, educational, and entertainment purposes only. Information presented through articles, videos, podcasts, social content, newsletters, product write-ups, and glossary entries is not a substitute for professional inspection, professional installation, manufacturer guidance, safety instructions, or vehicle-specific expertise.
Vehicle finishes, materials, coatings, trim, plastics, glass, fabrics, leathers, and aftermarket components can vary widely. Techniques, chemicals, tools, or products that work in one situation may cause poor results or damage in another. Any person who chooses to follow, test, or apply information found through the Services does so voluntarily and entirely at their own risk.
Carsmotology makes no guarantee that any method, recommendation, or product discussed through the Services will produce any specific result. Carsmotology is not responsible for any vehicle damage, paint damage, trim damage, coating failure, staining, discoloration, personal injury, property damage, loss of use, lost profits, towing expense, rental expense, or any other loss arising from reliance on content provided through the Services.
No Professional or Technical Guarantee
Content published by Carsmotology may include opinions, experiences, demonstrations, reviews, commentary, and educational breakdowns. Such content should not be interpreted as a warranty, certification, guarantee, or promise of outcome. Users are solely responsible for evaluating whether any technique, product, service, recommendation, or affiliate-linked item is appropriate for their own vehicle, project, or circumstances.
Detailing Services and Service Limitations
Where Carsmotology offers automotive detailing, ceramic coating, paint correction, paint protection film, window tint coordination, consultations, or related vehicle services, all services are subject to availability, scheduling, vehicle condition, inspection, pricing, and separate service-specific policies or agreements where applicable.
Results may vary based on pre-existing vehicle condition, prior repairs, paint thickness, contamination, age, aftermarket parts, environmental exposure, and owner maintenance habits. Carsmotology does not guarantee perfection, defect-free outcomes, full defect removal, permanent correction, or compatibility with every surface, film, coating, or material.
Customers are responsible for disclosing known defects, repaints, wraps, touch-up work, body work, damage history, mechanical issues, fluid leaks, electrical issues, sensitive accessories, loose trim, and other conditions that may affect service performance or risk. Carsmotology may decline, discontinue, reschedule, or limit services at its discretion.
Appointments, Estimates, and Quotes
Any quote, estimate, price range, turnaround time, or service recommendation provided through the Services is informational only unless confirmed by Carsmotology in a final booking or written approval. Final pricing may vary based on inspection findings, vehicle size, vehicle condition, contamination levels, added services, labor requirements, or other relevant factors.
Carsmotology reserves the right to refuse service, require deposits, modify pricing, reschedule appointments, or cancel appointments when necessary for business, operational, legal, safety, or customer conduct reasons.
Merchandise Sales and Threads.Carsmotology
Threads.Carsmotology may offer apparel, accessories, and other merchandise. Some or all merchandise may be fulfilled through third-party print-on-demand or fulfillment partners. Product colors, sizing, print placement, garment feel, materials, and actual appearance may vary slightly from mockups, photos, or on-screen displays due to production processes and screen settings.
Production, fulfillment, and shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Carsmotology is not responsible for delays caused by third-party printers, manufacturers, carriers, customs, weather, supply chain interruptions, address errors, or events outside its control. Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping, billing, and contact information at checkout.
Carsmotology reserves the right to cancel, limit, or refuse any merchandise order at its discretion. Returns, exchanges, replacement requests, and refunds are subject to the store policies then posted on the applicable store or checkout pages.
Carsmotology Glossary and Affiliate Disclosures
The Carsmotology Glossary and other areas of the Services may reference, recommend, review, compare, or link to products, tools, chemicals, services, retailers, or brands. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning Carsmotology may earn a commission if a user clicks a link or makes a purchase through a third-party site.
Affiliate relationships do not create any warranty, representation, or guarantee regarding a third-party product or service. Carsmotology does not manufacture, inspect, test every batch, control, or assume liability for third-party products, listings, claims, shipping, warranties, recalls, safety practices, or business conduct. Behind the Buffer, Educational Content, and Commentary
Behind the Buffer, newsletters, podcast episodes, video discussions, blogs, and related editorial content may include personal opinions, commentary, industry observations, product impressions, storytelling, educational concepts, or entertainment. Such content is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as legal advice, financial advice, professional engineering advice, body shop advice, or guaranteed technical guidance.
Carsmotology may discuss products, projects, detailing philosophies, shops, brands, techniques, industry topics, collaborations, and customer experiences. Views expressed in such content are inherently subjective and may change over time without notice.
Collaborations and Collab With Carsmotology
Individuals or businesses that participate in Collab With Carsmotology, content shoots, vehicle features, interviews, co-branded projects, social media collaborations, or related activities may submit information, vehicles, photos, videos, social media handles, branding assets, testimonials, project details, and other materials. By participating, those individuals or businesses represent that they have the right to provide such materials and grant Carsmotology a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, publish, display, edit, reproduce, distribute, promote, and archive those materials in connection with the Services and Carsmotology’s business activities.
This permission includes use in website content, social media posts, newsletters, podcasts, videos, recaps, educational materials, promotional materials, paid advertising, and future editorial compilations, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Participation in any collaboration does not guarantee publication, audience reach, sales, business exposure, social media growth, backlinks, conversions, compensation, or any specific business result.
Photo, Video, Voice, and Likeness Release
Carsmotology may photograph, record, edit, publish, and distribute vehicles, project sites, submitted materials, social handles, voices, names, likenesses, statements, and related media in connection with its content and business. By participating in services, collaborations, interviews, consultations, or content opportunities where media is captured or submitted, each participant grants Carsmotology the right to use that material for lawful business, editorial, educational, and promotional purposes.
Participants acknowledge that published media may remain publicly accessible indefinitely and may be shared, embedded, reposted, cached, archived, screen-captured, or referenced by third parties beyond Carsmotology’s control. Carsmotology has no obligation to remove or edit previously published content unless required by law or agreed in writing.
User Submissions and User-Generated Content
Users may submit reviews, comments, testimonials, messages, photos, videos, feedback, or other materials through the Services. Carsmotology is not obligated to maintain, publish, or return any submitted material and may remove or moderate submissions at its sole discretion.

All content and materials made available through the Services, including but not limited to text, logos, trade names, slogans, images, graphics, videos, audio, podcasts, articles, blog content, designs, layouts, downloads, branding, product descriptions, icons, photographs, compilations, and software-related elements, are owned by Carsmotology and/or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No portion of the Services may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, reverse engineered, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without prior written permission from Carsmotology, except as expressly allowed by law. Trademarks and Brand Use
Carsmotology, Threads.Carsmotology, Behind the Buffer, Collab With Carsmotology, and related names, logos, slogans, and branding elements may function as trademarks, service marks, trade dress, or other proprietary identifiers of Carsmotology. Users may not use these marks without prior written consent in any way that is likely to cause confusion, imply affiliation, suggest endorsement, dilute brand value, or misrepresent origin.
Third-Party Platforms and Services
The Services may rely on or integrate with third-party platforms and providers, including ecommerce platforms, payment processors, analytics services, social media platforms, video hosts, podcast platforms, affiliate programs, email service providers, maps, plug-ins, booking tools, or embedded content providers. Carsmotology does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, functionality, content, practices, security, policies, or terms.
Users who interact with third-party services do so at their own risk and remain subject to those third parties’ terms and policies.
Accessibility
Carsmotology strives to improve website usability and accessibility for all visitors. However, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and Carsmotology does not warrant that every page, feature, tool, or third-party integration will be fully accessible, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times. Carsmotology disclaims all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability, quiet enjoyment, and compatibility.
Carsmotology does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, virus-free, or that defects will be corrected. Carsmotology does not warrant that content or recommendations will meet every user’s expectations or requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carsmotology and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, representatives, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, use, opportunity, vehicle value, or property, arising out of or related to the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Without limiting the foregoing, Carsmotology shall not be liable for any damage related to detailing outcomes, product misuse, affiliate purchases, third-party merchandise fulfillment, missed appointments, scheduling issues, shipping delays, collaboration expectations, social media performance, website outages, inaccurate content, user submissions, or third-party acts or omissions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, if Carsmotology is found liable for any claim arising out of or related to the Services, Carsmotology’s total cumulative liability shall not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the amount actually paid by the claimant directly to Carsmotology for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim during the three months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
Indemnification
Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Carsmotology and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, representatives, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to the user’s breach of these Terms, misuse of the Services, violation of any law, infringement of any third-party right, submitted content, collaboration materials, or negligent or wrongful conduct.
Privacy
Use of the Services is also subject to the Carsmotology Privacy Policy, which describes how information may be collected, used, and disclosed. By using the Services, users acknowledge the Privacy Policy as part of the overall agreement governing use of the Services.
Termination
Carsmotology may terminate or suspend access to all or part of the Services at any time and without prior notice for conduct believed to violate these Terms, applicable law, the rights of others, or the security or operation of the Services. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification obligations, and dispute-related provisions.
Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution and Venue
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or nearest Kendall County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Users consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum or similar doctrine.
No Waiver
Failure by Carsmotology to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing to be effective.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any policies or notices posted by Carsmotology on the website, constitute the entire agreement between Carsmotology and the user regarding the use of the Services, except to the extent a separate written service agreement, invoice, booking agreement, release, or other contract expressly applies to a particular transaction or relationship.
